Tennis - Kentucky Wildcats vs. Illinois Fighting Illini

Hate for Atkins Tennis Center = Love for Khan Tennis Complex
The sun, the colors*, and I get the sidelines to myself. I tried to compose more and crop less this time, I believe this is uncropped.

Shot with Nikon D70s, 300mm, f/4

*Colors great not online, thanks blogger :)

Baseball - SIUE Cougars at Illinois Fighting Illini

I spent my evening at the baseball game. The 6:30 start time makes white balancing extremely difficult since the the setting sun transitions into the stadium lights. Add to that shooting with a D2h and you get a lot of time in photoshop afterwards.
Also, Blogger sucks at colors too.

the Jackoln

Introducing the new $25 bill, the Jackoln, with which you can buy a Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 from your local Salvation Army.
Joke's on me, I'm going to have to buy two speed lamps to light these close ups, darn!

Fruit of the D70s

I learned so much from this camera in the three years I've been shooting with it. I just wish I could extend it's life, it's sad watching it die (read watching it fall to the ground and have the pop-up flash explode). Here is the Riesenrad in Vienna, Austria.
